On Tuesday evening, Texas A&M announced a Pokemon Go event for Wednesday afternoon. Judging from a photo by Clay Taylor of 12th Man Productions, the event was overwhelmingly popular with TAMU students and other College Station locals, leading to long lines.

The smartphone game recently launched by Nintendo has become unavoidable in the news, even the sports world, due to its virtually overnight popularity.

The next event that will bring a large crowd to Kyle Field will likely be Texas A&M’s season opener against UCLA on Sept. 3.
