Being a college kicker can’t be easy. The possibility of having the the whole team’s hopes and dreams resting on your shoulders would be enough to make rattle any kicker, not to mention adding to the stress by kicking in front of a hostile crowd.

Well give credit to Auburn, as the Tigers found a creative way to amp up the pressure just a little bit more on their opponents’ kickers.

Check out the giant image of an eagle Auburn put on college football’s biggest video board just before halftime of the Clemson game:

Somehow, Clemson sophomore kicker Greg Huegel made the kick – despite the terrifyingly intimating image. However he did miss an extra point later in the game – perhaps he had the image of the eagle burned into his subconscious?

Despite the ploy, Auburn eventually fell to Clemson by a score of 19-13 Saturday night.
