Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin could be finding out soon if he will be receiving an extension and a raise.

AL.com’s Michael Casagrande reports that the UA Board of Trustees will discuss amendments to nine coaches contracts, including Kiffin, on Friday.

Kiffin, who joined the staff for the 2014 season, is currently in the final year of his contract. The offensive coordinator made $844, 260 in 2015, with $680,000 being paid by Alabama and the rest coming from USC as part of his severance package. The current arrangement has the Crimson Tide paying Kiffin $714,000 for the 2016 season.

After Alabama’s 52-6 blowout of USC, chatter has only increased about Kiffin being a head coaching candidate this winter. His former USC colleague, Steve Sarkisian, recently joined the staff as an analyst.

Pay raises for Alabama’s eight other on-field assistants were announced in June.
