Tennessee and Florida meet in a Top-25 SEC East clash on Saturday, but at least one pundit believes the Vols might not be as good as their 3-0 record suggests.

Rece Davis, an ESPN anchor and the host of College Gameday, said he thought Tennessee was “lucky to be undefeated” on Friday while preparing for the Saturday morning broadcast, according to 247Sports.

“You fumble the ball 11 times, and you only lost one? That’s luck,” Davis said, per 247Sports. “I got one of my statistical gurus to look back at this. On average, over a 10-year span, championship teams and sorry teams and everybody in between, you lose 50 percent of your fumbles. That will not continue. They’re averaging putting it on the ground nearly four times a game.”

Davis said Tennessee will need to take care of the football if it is going to have any chance of ending its 11-game losing streak to Florida on Saturday.

The Vols began their season with a shaky overtime victory against Appalachian State, looked much improved in a statement win over Virginia Tech in the Battle at Bristol and once again struggled in a cupcake game against Ohio.

Regardless, both teams enter Saturday’s matchup with perfect records and are intent on establishing themselves as the class of the division.

Tennessee and Florida will kickoff in Neyland Stadium at 3:30 p.m. ET, and the game can be seen CBS.
