Alabama RB Damien Harris suffered a nasty-looking ankle injury on the Crimson Tide’s first possession against Kent State on Saturday afternoon.

He wasn’t putting any weight on the ankle while he was helped off the field by trainers, but the talented back received good news after the game:

Shortly after the game, Harris sounded positive about his status and said he can’t wait to return to the field:

Though the injury could have been much worse, the sprained ankle will likely keep Harris out for next weekend’s game against Kentucky.

However, having Harris healthy and ready to go for the stretch of games at Arkansas, at Tennessee, vs. Texas A&M and at LSU is more important.
