On Saturday, the South Carolina Gamecocks lost to the struggling Kentucky Wildcats 17-10, marking the third straight year the Gamecocks have lost to Kentucky.

Frustrations are high in Columbia, according to an article by The State:

“Obviously, we are frustrated,” junior safety D.J. Smith said. “We lost to Kentucky three years in a row. That’s no fun.”

Though coach Will Muschamp stood behind freshman QB Brandon McIlwain, he said there will be some shakeups moving forward:

“Brandon is the starter,” he said. “I’m not just talking about evaluating one position. I am talking about evaluating everybody. Brandon played well against East Carolina (two weeks ago). We need to play better around him. That’s it as much as anything.”

The Gamecocks’ schedule gets much more difficult this weekend when the No. 10 Texas A&M Aggies come to Columbia.

The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on the SEC Network.
