Florida standout linebacker Jarrad Davis will be a game-time decision for the Gators’ upcoming contest against Georgia, according to coach Jim McElwain.

Davis was diagnosed with a “badly sprained ankle” with no timetable given for his return during the Missouri game on Oct. 15, but McElwain noted Monday that his senior leader has participated in some light work and will continue rehab throughout the week in hopes of being able to play in this weekend’s rivalry series.

Davis has a team-leading 48 tackles to go along with two sacks and three quarterback hurries.

Florida (5-1, 3-1) and Georgia (4-3, 2-3) meet at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday in Jacksonville, Florida.
