Brent Musburger dropped by the “The Paul Finebaum Show” Friday afternoon in Baton Rouge to talk about the College Football Playoff and its effect on the regular season and non-championship bowl games.

Musburger pointed out that the LSU-Florida game is still important to both schools, with Tigers interim coach Ed Orgeron coaching for the full-time gig and the Gators’ possible return to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game.

If LSU were to play its way into the Sugar Bowl as the No. 2 SEC team behind Alabama, Musburger believes Orgeron would be offered a contract.
