The saga surrounding RB Najee Harris may finally be over. Harris landed this afternoon in Birmingham according to AL.com’s Drew Champlin.

Earlier in the week, Alabama QB commit Tua Tagovailoa shared the big news that Harris, the No. 1 recruit in the country according to the 247Sports Composite, would be joining him on the flight from San Antonio to Birmingham following the completion of U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Players invited to the game receive a complimentary flight to the destination of their choosing.

Thursday morning, however, it was reported that Harris had changed his mind on flying to Birmingham, would instead be flying to Oakland to go home to Antioch, Calif. Harris’ high school coach noted that the five-star prospect had packed light for San Antonio, and he questioned whether Harris had enough for a semester of college. Harris was reportedly undecided at the time on whether to keep his commitment to Alabama or flip to Michigan.

A later report Thursday indicated that Harris would indeed be flying to Birmingham.
