The Bulldogs were expected to add two cornerbacks to their pledge class on Wednesday, and it didn’t take long to fill those spots.

Three-star CB Eric Stokes, an Eastside (Covington, Ga.) product, chose the home-state Bulldogs over Ole Miss and Florida. The 6-foot, 170-pounder is rated the No. 63 cornerback and No. 66 Georgia prospect by the 247Sports Composite.

Joining Stokes in the secondary is 3-star CB Ameer Speed out of Sandalwood in Jacksonville, Fla. The appropriately named defensive back had a total of 40 offers, and picked UGA. Speed is rated the No. 41 cornerback and No. 44 Florida prospect.

The addition of Stokes and Speed likely means that the Bulldogs missed on their top cornerback target, 4-star South Carolina commit Jamyest Williams. UGA pushed hard to try to flip Williams.

UGA now has 25 commits in a class ranked No. 3 nationally and No. 2 in the SEC.
