Former South Carolina DB D.J. Swearinger has moved around quite a bit in his brief NFL career.

After he was drafted by the Houston Texans in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Swearinger spent two years in Houston before moving to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Then, midway through the 2015 season, the Bucs waived him and he signed with the Arizona Cardinals, where he spent the second half of 2015 and the entire 2016 campaign.

Now, though, it seems he may have found a more permanent home, as the ex-Gamecock has reportedly signed a three-year contract (worth $4.5 million per year) with the Washington Redskins:

Swearinger had his best year as a pro with the Cardinals last year, recording 66 tackles, three interceptions, two sacks and eight defended passes.

The 25-year-old safety will try to continue his upward ascent with Washington in 2017, where he probably hopes he can settle down for the entire three years of his contract.
