The Gamecocks plan to load up on cupcake opponents in the near future, as South Carolina has reportedly added a number of games against relatively local competition to its future schedules.

According to college football scheduling masters FBS Schedules, South Carolina has added three home games against non-conference foes, two in the 2018 season and one in 2020. Per the report, Coastal Carolina will travel to Columbia Sept. 1, 2018, and again in 2020. The other scheduled game for South Carolina will be played inside Williams-Brice Stadium Nov. 17, 2018, against Tennessee-Chattanooga.

The two additions help to finalize the 2018 non-conference slate for South Carolina, as the school was already set to play Marshall at home and of course in-state rival Clemson in Death Valley. The Gamecocks still have an open spot in the 2020 slate, as Coastal Carolina joins Clemson and ECU as current future opponents for South Carolina.
