Just when the Ole Miss offensive line appeared to be rounding into shape, reports of a surgery to starting left guard Javon Patterson have surfaced.

According to Antonio Morales of The Clarion-Ledger, Patterson will soon be going under the knife to repair his shoulder. An Ole Miss spokesperson has confirmed the news, according to Morales. Patterson is not expected to miss any games this season for the Rebels as a result of this surgery.

Looked upon as one of the leaders up front for Ole Miss, Patterson has started since his true freshman season in 2015. Patterson was named a 2015 U.S. Army All-American coming out of high school and rated as a five-star prospect by 247Sports.
