Former Tennessee DL Dan Williams will attempt to find a new NFL home ahead of the 2017 season.

On Tuesday, Pro Football Talk reported that the Oakland Raiders had released the ex-Volunteer, who had played with the team for the past two seasons.

As Williams, a former first-round draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals, prepares to enter his eighth NFL season, his durability is his best asset.

The 6-2, 330-pound lineman has played in 102 of a possible 112 regular-season games over his first seven years in the league, recording 222 tackles, 3.5 sacks and one interception.

At only 29 years old, Williams will likely find a new team before the start of summer training camps. However, as the Raiders work to find cap room to trade for Marshawn Lynch, Williams was a cap-related casualty.
