The New York Jets hold the No. 6 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, and they clearly are very interested in LSU S Jamal Adams.

The only problem? The Jets don’t think they’ll get a chance to pick the talented defensive back.

According to Adams, when he showed up to visit with Jets personnel, they told him he was wasting his time:

Indeed, most mock drafts do have Adams going in the top five, so the Jets would likely have to trade up to land the ex-Tiger.

Though Adams falling to No. 6 wouldn’t be the craziest thing ever to happen in the NFL draft, it’s safe to say he won’t fall any further than that, as it sounds like the Jets would love to have him roaming in their secondary.
