Former LSU S Jamal Adams is projected to be one of the first names called on Thursday night’s NFL Draft. Barring any last-minute scandal or unexplainable drop in his stock, he will be most certainly be a first-round pick. When that becomes official, Adams and his father will join an exclusive of father-son first-round picks.

Ross Dellenger of The Advocate tweeted a list of the seven previous father-son duos to both be drafted in the first round, including the Mannings (the only trio in the list) and former Alabama RB Mark Ingram.

The Adams will be the newest members of the club since the Matthews family entry in 2014. Jamal Adams’ father George also has SEC roots, having played for the Kentucky Wildcats. He was selected by the New York Giants in the 1985 NFL Draft at No. 19 overall. Projections have Jamal going much higher, with many seeing him as a top-five pick.
