Ole Miss has been on a bit of a roll lately on the recruiting trail as the program picked up its fourth commitment in two weeks Monday. The latest recruit to join the Rebels 2018 recruiting class is defensive lineman Ka’darian Hill. Following Hill’s commitment, Ole Miss now has six total 2018 prospects pledged to join Hugh Freeze’s program.

The 6-foot, 263-pound Hill is rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 86 defensive tackle in the nation and Alabama’s No. 38 overall prospect according to 247Sports. Hill chose to commit to Ole Miss over scholarship offers from Auburn, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Memphis, and FAU among others.

Hill announced his commitment to join Ole Miss via Twitter:

His future head coach was certainly pleased to pick up another commitment to help rebuild the Landshark defense.

After finishing the 2016 season ranked dead last in rushing defense – the Rebels gave up just over 246 rushing yards per game last season, Ole Miss appears to be addressing that issue by adding to its numbers up front. Four of the team’s six 2018 commits are defensive linemen.

Judging by his highlight reel, Hill is a classic run-stuffing defensive lineman. While those types of commits don’t typically draw many headlines, they are essential to overall success in the SEC. Hill is number No. 55 in these highlights:
