Texas A&M has just landed its third 2018 commit of the week, and fifth overall during that span considering the 2019 pickups of quarterback Grant Gunnell and receiver Chase Lane, following the announcement of Texas running back Deneric Prince.

The 6-foot-1, 196-pound Prince is rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 71 running back in the nation and the No. 125 overall recruit from the state of Texas in the 2018 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports. The Manvel native currently holds scholarship offers from Louisville, Kansas, UCLA, Colorado State, Purdue, and SMU among others.

Prince announced his decision to commit to Kevin Sumlin’s program Friday morning on Twitter:

The Aggies have really started to pile up with commits this offseason, as the team now has 10 total 2018 pledges lined up to join the program in the near future. Texas A&M’s 2018 recruiting class currently ranks third behind only LSU and Tennessee in the SEC and sits firmly as the nation’s No. 13 overall class at this time.

To get an idea of how Prince fits into Noel Mazzone’s offense down in College Station, check out his junior season highlight reel. Judging by this film, it appears Prince is already familiar with a scheme similar to what the Aggies are currently running under Mazzone.
