Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on the Ole Miss campus was recently named one of the safest stadiums in the country, according to the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4).

The organization was presented with a 2017 Facility of Merit Award for the progressive changes that have been made in recent years to increase safety.

According to 247Sports, the stadium was one of only three college football stadiums — along with Northwestern’s Ryan Field and Duke’s Wallace Wade Stadium.

Only one NFL stadium — the San Francisco 49ers’ Levi Stadium, which was built very recently — cracked the list.
