When healthy, few defensive players have the destructive capabilities that Myles Garrett possesses. Unfortunately for the former Texas A&M star, he’s had a string of frustrating injuries.

The No. 1 overall draft pick was seen with a walking boot on his left foot Friday morning after injuring it Wednesday during the Cleveland Browns’ second day of mandatory minicamp, according to cleveland.com.

Throughout Cleveland’s OTAs, Garrett struggled with what cleveland.com reported as a “sore foot.” Garrett’s foot injury is on the same leg as the ankle injury he suffered last season with Texas A&M, but the two injuries do not appear to be connected.

“It sucks, especially when he’s one of your good friends,” rookie defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi told cleveland.com after watching Garrett fall to his knees and grab his foot. “I’ve known Myles for just a short period of time, but we’ve connected and you know how good of a person he is because he’s humble and he’s hungry and really wants to be great. So you know it sucks, but it’s part of the game. It’s part of the process and you know he’s going to bounce back.”

During the times that Garrett has been on the field for his new team, the defensive end has impressed coaches and teammates alike. Hopefully, this is just a small setback for the former Aggie and not the start of a troubling pattern.
