Kentucky continues to have great success on the recruiting trail with the latest addition coming on the Fourth of July from Ohio linebacker Xavier Peters. The Wildcats now have 15 prospects committed in the 2018 recruiting cycle in a class that ranks among the Top 15 nationally.

Peters is coming off an impressive appearance at the prestigious Nike Opening finals camp, where the top prospects in the nation annually compete head-to-head to improve their stock in the eyes of the recruiting world. The Ohio native is the now the second-highest rated prospect to commit to Kentucky’s 2018 class.

Peters is rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 8 outside linebacker in the nation and the No. 4 overall prospect from Ohio in the 2018 recruiting cycle by 247Sports. The Ohio native holds several impressive offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Penn State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas and USC among others.

With Peters now set to join UK’s class, the Wildcats currently have the nation’s No. 14 overall 2018 recruiting class.
