A future Texas A&M defensive back got to see what it’s like to cover an NFL wide receiver on Saturday.

New England Patriots LB Elandon Roberts was holding a charity 5K and 7-on-7 tournament, featuring NFL and high school players, to benefit his foundation in his hometown of Port Arthur, Texas. The 7-on-7 got scrapped due to severe weather, but former Texas A&M wideout still took the time to take part in drills with some talented Lone Star State defensive backs.

In the video below, Evans lines up against 4-star S Leon O’Neal Jr., an Aggies 2018 commit. O’Neal gets to say he got a pick covering Evans, albeit the Tampa Bay wideout is sporting tennis shoes and a backpack.

When Evans lined up against another 4-star defensive back, Jalen Green of Houston, the pro came out on top. Green, for what its worth, is projected to go to Texas.

What an awesome experience for both high schoolers. Who knows, maybe Evans can sway Green to come to College Station.
