It’s been awhile since LSU had a coach without an accent. Thanks to Ed Orgeron, the native Louisianians have a head coach that truly understands them.

The latest proof of that came during Coach O’s first ESPN car wash event as LSU’s coach in Bristol, Connecticut. When discussing his Louisiana roots, Orgeron explained to ESPN anchor Kenny Mayne why they call it ‘The Bayou.’

Orgeron’s response was classic.

The LSU fan base has rallied around the Louisiana native since he became interim coach following the dismissal of Les Miles. Should he manage to take the Tigers to new heights this season and beyond, Orgeron may very well never leave ‘The Bayou’ ever again.
