Nick Chubb had his moments last season, the opener against UNC was by far his best game, but he surpassed the century mark on the ground only five times last season. Considering he once had a streak of 13 consecutive games with over 100 rushing yards, which was only derailed due to injury, the Georgia back clearly had not come all the way back from his injury heading into the 2016 season.

That’s something at least one NFL Draft scout noted after reviewing Chubb’s film from last season, remarking the Georgia running back’s decision to return to school for one last year should prove to be a wise move.

“Last year, he wasn’t as quick through the hole. He wasn’t as decisive, you could tell the cuts weren’t as sharp as the year before,” Lance Zierlein regarding Chubb this offseason. “He still has some power and contact balance, you can still see the running back he could be.”

While he may not have been 100 percent this time last year, judging by this video, 2017 will be a different story. Check out this video of Chubb squatting 600 pounds in the UGA weight room:

If Chubb does return to form, the Bulldogs will have arguably the best running back in the conference — if not the nation — to build the offense around this season.
