The Florida Gators got a big surprise on July 22, when 5-star 2018 QB Matt Corral announced he was committing to the program.

After de-committing from USC just five days prior to the Florida announcement, Corral said there is just nothing like the SEC when it comes to football.

On Tuesday, he announced he was so excited to get his college career underway that he was doing everything he can to be able to enroll a semester early:

Having an extra semester with Corral will be important for coach Jim McElwain and his staff, as they’ll have more time to see if he can step in and start immediately in 2018.

According to the 247 composite, Corral is the No. 2 pro-style passer in the class of 2018 and the No. 3 overall recruit from the state of California.
