When Georgia travels to South Bend to take on Notre Dame in Week 2, Bulldogs fans watching the game at home will be treated to an all-star broadcast booth.

NBC has announced that former Monday Night Football announcer Mike Tirico will be the play-by-play man in the booth for all of the network’s Notre Dame coverage this season, including the big-time Week 2 matchup.

Tirico will be joined in the booth by former Heisman Trophy winner Doug Flutie, with Kathryn Tappen handling the sideline reporting:

According to an NBC Sports press release earlier this year, the Week 2 matchup between the Bulldogs and Irish will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday, Sept. 9:

“NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2017 Notre Dame Football season is highlighted by primetime matchups vs. 2017 Rose Bowl Champion USC on Saturday, October 21, at 7:30 p.m. ET, and Georgia on Saturday, September 9, at 7:30 p.m. ET. Continuing one of college football’s greatest rivalries, this season’s USC – Notre Dame game will mark the 89th time the two storied programs will face each other, with the rivalry dating back to 1926.”

The Bulldogs kick off their 2017 campaign with a game against Appalachian State on Saturday, Sept. 2.
