Tennessee QB Quinten Dormady, the presumed favorite to replace Joshua Dobbs as the Vols’ starter, sported a new look during the team’s media day on Sunday.

Dormady’s jersey had longer, looser sleeves, as the junior decided against wearing the more-common elastic sleeves that are the style in college football these days.

The look, which you can see below, may look familiar, as it was the preferred jersey style of another former Tennessee quarterback — the one and only Peyton Manning:

And here’s Manning’s classic look (he’s on the far right):

Dormady explained the look to 247Sports, saying it comes down to being able to move his arms properly without the elastic restricting him:

“Just having more mobility, I guess,” Dormady said of the loose sleeves. “I never really liked the elastic sleeves. It’s hard for me to keep my elbow up and things of that sort, so I went for the loose sleeve.”

Junior WR Jauan Jennings foresees one potential problem with the loose sleeves, though he said he’s a fan of the look for now:

“Until he gets slung by them,” Jennings said, “I don’t have a problem with them.”

Tennessee opens the 2017 season with a Monday night showdown against Georgia Tech in Atlanta. We’ll see how long Dormady’s new look lasts.
