When the Tennessee Volunteers and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets face off at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Monday night, the Vols will already be at a disadvantage.

According to coach Butch Jones, the Yellow Jackets — based out of Atlanta — have already gotten a chance to practice at the new stadium ahead of Monday’s Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game.

Via 247Sports, Jones said on a weekly radio appearance that he feels Georgia Tech now has the advantage and his team will have to make the most of a short walk-through on Sunday:

“We will go on Sunday and we’ll do a walk-through, and we’ll catch punts and we’ll catch kickoffs,” Jones said during his weekly appearance on 104.5 The Zone’s “3HL.”

“They already have an advantage on us because we were told that they were inside the dome practicing with full pads for a two-hour practice (Tuesday). They got a phone call. We’ll have to make the most of our walk-through on Sunday when we get there, and I know our players are looking forward to it.”

The Vols will take on the Yellow Jackets on Monday night at 8 p.m. Eastern time. The game can be seen on ESPN.
