The Jacksonville Jaguars made a surprising move over the weekend when they waived former Arkansas QB Brandon Allen.

For a team that has struggled at the quarterback position as much as the Jags have in recent years, the move raised eyebrows.

Fortunately for the ex-Razorback, though, he wasn’t unemployed long, as he was claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Rams:

In Los Angeles, Allen may be placed on the practice squad, as the Rams have second-year starter Jared Goff and veterans Sean Mannion and Dan Orlovsky.

Allen was picked by the Jaguars in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He threw for 3,440 yards and 30 touchdowns in his final season in Fayetteville in 2015.
