Kyle Field was already one of the more intimidating places to play as a visiting team in college football, but now it’s going to be even louder.

That’s thanks to major improvements made to the stadium’s sound system this offseason, which came about after some fans complained they couldn’t hear the public address announcer.

Now, according to the Houston Chronicle, the Aggies are ready to debut the new system on Saturday when Texas A&M hosts Nicholls State:

“We’ve spent $660,000 between last year and this year to address every sound issue that has been registered through the athletic department,” said prominent A&M donor Sam Torn, who is heading up a Kyle Field game-day task force. “Is it perfect this year? I don’t know … we’ll see.”

After blowing a 44-10 lead in what became a 45-44 loss to UCLA last weekend, the Aggies will be looking to bounce back in a big way this week.

The Aggies kick off against the Colonels at 6 p.m. Central time tonight. The game can be seen on ESPNU.
