Texas A&M doing a great job of keeping Kevin Sumlin on the hot seat, losing to ULL at home

The season started off so well for Texas A&M. Redshirt freshman Nick Starkel looked like the answer at quarterback. The running game was firing on all cylinders. The defense looked aggressive and was swarming to the football. The Aggies jumped on UCLA to take an early third quarter 44-10 lead in the Rose Bowl.
It’s been all downhill since that moment.
Starkel was injured and lost for the season in the second half against the Bruins. The offense went away from the running game. The defense was quickly picked apart by UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen, leading his team to an epic comeback in front of his team’s fans.
Making matters worse, that game was nationally televised on a Sunday with only one other game on, which only served to draw more attention to the A&M collapse.
The Aggies “rebounded” last weekend by beating Nicholls 24-14 at home — that game was tied in the fourth. Now A&M is in a battle with Louisiana-Lafayette at home. The Aggies are actually losing 21-14 at halftime to ULL.
The immediate reaction to the news has not been kind — with a vast majority of the negative attention directed at head coach Kevin Sumlin:
