Seats don’t get much hotter than Tennessee coach Butch Jones’s is right now.

Coming off a 45-7 loss at Alabama on Saturday, the Vols are 0-4 in SEC play and in danger of missing a bowl game this year.

Making matters worse, Jones is now 14-22 in SEC play during his time at Tennessee, meaning he’s already lost more SEC games than former Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer did in his first 102 conference matchups:

Many Vols fans were surprised Jones wasn’t fired on either Saturday night or Sunday morning, but it appears he’ll survive another week.

However, a game against the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington next weekend won’t be easy for the struggling Vols, and another loss will only add to the noise coming out of Knoxville.

The Fulmer era is long gone, and Jones isn’t the only person responsible for the Vols’ struggles over the past decade, but fans have seemingly turned on him, so barring a miracle finish to the season, Jones will likely be gone by 2018.
