5-star 2018 OL Cade Mays has been committed to the Tennessee Volunteers since 2015, but as the Vols have struggled mightily this season, the talented lineman is looking at other options.

Though he’s still committed to the Volunteers, he’s taken visits to Clemson, Georgia and other top programs around the country.

According to 247Sports, Mays is just taking a look at other places to “see what else is out there” before he makes his final decision:

“It was cool,” Mays told 247Sports’ Kipp Adams on vsporto’s SEC Recruiting Buzz podcast. “I’ve spent three years going to every single Tennessee home game. And just being able to change the atmosphere a little bit, change the view, being able to see other places and see what else is out there is going to be really good for me.”

According to the 247Sports composite, Mays is the No. 2 offensive tackle in the class of 2018 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Tennessee.

With Mays headlining the class, the Vols currently have the No. 11 recruiting class nationally and the No. 3 class in the SEC.
