Former Auburn OL Greg Robinson — the No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft — moved from the Los Angeles Rams to the Detroit Lions this offseason.

However, he has been out since Week 6 while dealing with an ankle injury and now will be looking for his third team of the season.

That’s because the Lions announced on Friday that they were waiving the injured tackle, who has become largely unnecessary now that starting LT Taylor Decker is returning from an injury of his own:

In four professional seasons, Robinson has appeared in 52 total games, starting 48 of them for the Rams and Lions combined.

He has failed to live up to lofty expectations though, and it appears a change of scenery before the start of this season didn’t pay off.

As he looks for a new team in the coming weeks, it’ll be interesting to see where he ends up next, as he’s only 25 years old and still has some good years ahead of him.
