The Missouri Tigers looked like one of the worst teams in the country when they limped out to a 1-5 start to the season.

However, in a fiery rant when the Tigers were heading into their bye week at 1-3, coach Barry Odom said he was confident things would turn around soon.

And, oh, how right he was. Currently, the Tigers are on a four-game winning streak and have evened their record at 5-5 heading into this weekend’s game at Vanderbilt.

Still, only needing to beat either Vanderbilt or Arkansas to reach bowl eligibility, Odom isn’t counting his eggs before they hatch. On Monday, he said he’s simply focused on the game ahead and not what it means for postseason play:

The Tigers do indeed have a great chance to end the season on a high note, but they can’t let that get to their heads.

It won’t be easy to win an SEC game on the road, but that’s what they’ll have to do to make it to a bowl game.
