Brady Hoke apologizes to UT seniors after Vanderbilt loss: ‘As a coach, you have to look in the mirror’

Tennessee’s disappointing season came to an end Saturday with a 42-24 loss at home to Vanderbilt.
Interim Tennessee coach Brady Hoke took responsibility for the loss and apologized to the team’s seniors. It was the program’s first eight-loss season as the Vols finished 4-8 and 0-8 in the SEC. Vanderbilt has four wins in six years in the series.
Quickly after the game, attention turned to Hoke’s future with the program, and the outlook for the next coach to replace recently fired coach Butch Jones.
