Arkansas DC Paul Rhoads won’t be retained by new Razorbacks coach Chad Morris as Morris assembles his coaching staff for the 2018 season.

However, the defensive coach wasn’t out of work for long, as he’s reportedly heading west to join a Pac-12 coaching staff.

According to FOX Sports and Sports Illustrated reporter Bruce Feldman, Rhoads will join new UCLA coach Chip Kelly’s staff to coach the secondary:

Rhoads was the head coach at Iowa State from 2009 to 2015, so he brings a lot of experience to Kelly’s staff.

Former Cal DL coach Jerry Azzinaro was hired by Kelly to be UCLA’s defensive coordinator, but Rhoads will be a valuable defensive assistant.

Meanwhile, Morris is still looking for a defensive coordinator to bring to his Arkansas staff.
