The coaching carousel is slowing down, but it isn’t quite done spinning just yet.

On Saturday night, it was reported that Florida State’s co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, Randy Shannon, had found a new job.

According to FootballScoop.com, Sanders has accepted the head coaching position at East Tennessee State, an FCS program.

Sanders is a former Tennessee assistant coach, spending the 1989-2005 seasons as an assistant on the Vols’ coaching staff. He also played quarterback for the Vols from 1984 to 1988.

Now, he’ll be back close to Knoxville, as ETSU is located Johnson City, Tennessee. He’ll have his work cut out for him to turn around the Buccaneers’ program, as ETSU is coming off a 4-7 season.

Sanders will replace Carl Torbush, who spent three years as the Bucs’ head coach after stops as Ole Miss, Alabama, Texas A&M and Mississippi State’s defensive coordinators.
