It’s been an up-and-down rookie season for former Texas A&M star DE Myles Garrett, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Though the Cleveland Browns have yet to win a game, Garrett was an impact player in his first three games after returning from an ankle injury, recording four sacks.

However, he suffered a concussion and missed the next two weeks, and over the course of his last four games, he’s only recorded one sack.

Still, Browns coach Hue Jackson isn’t losing faith in the star defender, telling Cleveland.com that he believes Garrett is primed to have a multiple-sack game soon:

“You go through that rut a little bit sometimes where you know you’re almost there,” Jackson said. “It’s just one more step. A fraction of a second. I’m sure he feels that, but one thing I know about Myles, he’s going to keep coming. Eventually, it’s going to break through where he gets one of these multiple-sack games because he’s due. He just has to stay after it and keep playing.”

The Browns are currently 0-13, and Garrett’s impact will go a long way toward deciding if the team can pull off a victory before the end of the season.

Cleveland is a near-lock to land the No. 1 overall pick again in 2018, so Garrett will likely have less scrutiny heading into next season, which could help him grow as a player.
