The New York Giants have been a mess this year, struggling their way to a 2-13 record through their first 15 games.

Mercifully, the team’s season will come to an end this weekend, but not before there was some more drama created on Tuesday night.

Former Alabama S Landon Collins went on “The Michael Kay Show” on ESPN and called former first-round pick Eli Apple “a cancer,” adding that the young defender needs to grow up soon.

Check out the segment of the interview in question below:

“There’s one corner that has to establish [himself] and needs to grow, and we all know who that is,” Collins said. “That would be the only person I would change out of our secondary group. The other two guys — DRC [Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie] and Jack Rabbit [Janoris Jenkins] — I love those two guys. They play hard. They love what they do. But, that first pick, he’s a cancer.”

Whether Apple returns to the Giants next year or not remains to be seen, but it’s clear he has angered several of his teammates, perhaps beyond repair.
