WATCH: Auburn should have had touchdown on first-quarter fumble recovery

In the first quarter of Monday’s Peach Bowl, Auburn recovered a fumble by UCF QB McKenzie Milton.
On their ensuing drive, the Tigers drove down the field for a field goal, but they probably should have had six points instead.
As you can see in the video below, shared on Twitter by @CFBgifer, Auburn LB Deshaun Davis had regained his feet before picking up the ball, so he should have been allowed to run to the end zone:

Davis had a clear path to the end zone, but the play was whistled dead by officials, so he never got the chance to score.
Auburn got three points on the drive, but if the refs hadn’t made a mistake (granted, it’s a tough call to make on the field), the Tigers could have had a touchdown.
