Back in 2016, the Ole Miss Rebels landed a big-time commitment from 4-star WR Tre Nixon out of Florida.

However, Nixon redshirted in 2016 and only recorded one catch for 19 yards in 2017. Now, he announced, he’ll transfer a bit closer to home.

On Sunday morning, Nixon announced he’d be heading back to Florida to play for the UCF Knights, as you can see in his tweet below:

The Knights, of course, are coming off a 13-0 season in which they are claiming a national championship. However, they’ll have a new coaching staff heading into 2018.

Nixon will have to sit out a year due to NCAA transfer rules, but he should be a big piece of new coach Josh Heupel’s offense in the future for UCF.
