The Arizona Wildcats recently fired coach Rich Rodriguez amid serious allegations of wrongdoing.

Since then, they’ve been trying to hire a new coach to replace Rodriguez, and it appears they may have done just that on Sunday morning.

According to NFL.com analyst Gil Brandt, former Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin has been hired to take over the Wildcats program:

The Wildcats have one of the most talented quarterbacks in the nation in Kahlil Tate, so it’ll be interesting to see how Sumlin handles the star player.

For now, though, the Pac-12 has another experienced coach, and Sumlin will have an interesting battle with Arizona State coach Herm Edwards every year to try to control the state of Arizona.
