Should Trayveon Williams leave Texas A&M early after the 2018 season, the Aggies may have just acquired his eventual replacement.

According to multiple reports, Central Florida running back Cordarrian Richardson is leaving Orlando for College Station. News of his transfer is being reported by his hometown paper The Commerical Appeal out of Memphis, Tenn. Richardson was a four-star prospect in the 2017 recruiting cycle and ranked as the nation’s No. 9 running back according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Richardson saw the field as a true freshman for UCF last season, racking up 161 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 45 carries. During his high school career, Richardson led his school to back-to-back 2A state championships.

The running back will have to sit out the 2018 season due to the NCAA’s current transfer rules but he could use next season as a redshirt year, giving him the option to compete for three more seasons in College Station.

UCF 247Sports reporter Juan Toribio is also reporting news of the transfer from Orlando.
