Alabama currently sits all the way down at No. 6 in the 2018 recruiting rankings with less than two weeks until National Signing Day. While a No. 6 ranking would be cause for jubilation at most schools, Alabama obviously isn’t most schools.

The Crimson Tide have locked down the No. 1 recruiting class for seven consecutive seasons, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. While that may not be attainable for an eighth consecutive season, expect a big jump up from Alabama on National Signing Day — likely into the top 2 or 3 should things go Nick Saban’s way.

This weekend could go far in determining just how big of a jump Alabama takes, as the program is hosting several nationally elite prospects in Tuscaloosa this weekend.

The No. 4 cornerback in the nation and U.S. Army All-American Isaac Taylor-Stuart will be making the trip from San Diego:

The No. 3 cornerback in the nation Olaijah Griffin, rated as a five-star by 247Sports Composite, is also making the trip from California. He was selected to play in the 2018 Under Armour All-American Game:

Joining them will be longtime receiver target Jacob Copeland, the No. 12 receiver prospect in the nation. Copeland was also an Under Armour All-American:

Closing strong with these three, in particular, would help Alabama make a big jump up the recruiting rankings. All three are expected to wait until National Signing Day to declare their intentions.
