Christian Kirk fires back at NFL scouts who keep criticizing him for the same thing
By many accounts, former Texas A&M WR/KR Christian Kirk will be a first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
However, as Kirk goes through the pre-draft process, he’s apparently heard some of the same criticism over and over.
On Wednesday, he tweeted that he was sick of hearing that he “lacks elite speed” during the buildup to the draft:
The “lacks elite speed” phrase is my all time favorite phrase during this process. Say less?

Kirk’s tweet drew a response from star Alabama DB Minkah Fitzpatrick, who had the former Aggie’s back:
They trippin!!? https://t.co/6cYRvx178U

Kirk will have a chance to show off his speed at the NFL Combine at the end of February, but the big plays he’s put on film should be enough to put NFL scouts’ minds at ease.
After all, Kirk had 31 total touchdowns (26 receiving, five on punt returns) during his three years at Texas A&M and also had 2,856 overall receiving yards.
