Jeremy Pruitt makes big promise about Tennessee's 2019 class: 'We're gonna be right at the top'
The Tennessee Volunteers didn’t have the best National Signing Day, missing out on several of their top targets on Wednesday.
However, first-year head coach Jeremy Pruitt has big plans for the future, and isn’t getting down on his team after a disappointing day.
During his press conference on Wednesday night, Pruitt says he has high hopes for the Vols’ 2019 recruiting class and expects it to be at the top of the SEC:
#New Vols head coach Jeremy Pruitt: Give this staff a full year, and when you look at the rankings next year on National Signing Day, we’re gonna be right at the top.

According to the 247Sports rankings, the Vols finished the day with the No. 8 class in the SEC and the No. 20 overall class in the nation.
The class features eight 4-star signees and 14 3-star athletes. Pruitt will need to do better with his 2019 class, but he won’t be splitting time between Tennessee and Alabama, so that should help.
