The Alabama Crimson Tide had a disappointing year on the recruiting trails (for them), landing only the No. 2 class in the SEC and the No. 7 class nationally.

However, they’re not going to stand idly by while other teams pass them up. In fact, the Alabama system took immediate action to improve recruiting facilities.

According to TuscaloosaNews.com, the Tide will pour $2 million into a renovation of their recruiting lounge:

The recruiting lounge will be in 7,447-square-feet of renovated space on the first and second floors of the Mal Moore Athletic Facility. The lounge will primarily be used for football recruiting.

The work will include upgrading finishes, enhancing audio/visual systems, new lighting, and new graphics and furniture. The preliminary budget is $2 million. The project will be funded with Crimson Tide Foundation funds. Davis Architects of Birmingham will design the renovation.

Nick Saban isn’t about to let the Tide fall behind in the facilities race, and even though it was a disappointing year for the Alabama recruiting class, most teams would still kill for players like the ones Alabama brought in.

Moving forward, it appears the Crimson Tide are doing everything they can to make sure they get back to No. 1 in the near future.
