Thanks to Alabama’s performance in the SEC Tournament, the Crimson Tide not only advanced to the 2018 NCAA Tournament but won a game in the tourney’s first round.
However, the selection committee didn’t do the Crimson Tide any favors and seeded the tournament in such a way that Alabama would likely see #1 seed Villanova in Round 2. That’s exactly what happened and the Tide fell following one of the hottest shooting performances of the tournament from Nova.
