Many analysts have former South Carolina TE Hayden Hurst as the No. 1 tight end in the 2018 NFL Draft class, and he could go in the mid-to-late first round.

However, there are always teams that are better fits than others, and NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah thinks Hurst could be a game-changer for one NFC South squad.

According to Jeremiah, Hurst would be a perfect fit for QB Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints:

I have South Carolina TE Hayden Hurst as my top player at the position and I think he’d be a perfect fit in New Orleans’ system. He has the speed to make plays down the field and his toughness after the catch is outstanding. He even has experience as a ball carrier, which would afford a creative mind like Sean Payton plenty of options. This is an ideal match.

The Saints tried to get TE Jimmy Graham back this offseason, but he ended up going to the Green Bay Packers, so they have a hole at the position.

New Orleans holds the No. 27 overall pick in the first round. If Hurst is still on the board then, the Saints will have a big decision to make.
